How carpet has become green

GREEN_LABEL_PLUS_DIN_med Carpet manufactures are now required to add an assessment of $.25 per square yard of carpet sold as defined by California Assembly Bill #2398. The revenue collected helps to fund improvements in landfill diversion and recycling of post-consumer carpet.

Green Label Plus designation meet or exceed California’s indoor quality standards for low-emitting products used in residential as well as commercial setting such as schools and office buildings.

All carpeting manufactures are committed to sustainability.

Some of the various ways to accomplish this is through using solar power, using less water in the color dying process, using recycled product for carpet backing and padding.
