Hardwood

Quaglino’s Flooring has three types of hardwood on display in their showroom: locking hardwood, solid hardwood and engineered hardwood. The locking hardwood can be installed without glue, nails or staples making the installation process fast and easy. Solid hardwoods are solid wood strips manufactured for flooring installation. Engineered hardwood has a veneer of hardwood backed by multiple layers of wood in a cross-ply construction. This cross-ply structure makes engineered hardwood more stable than solid hardwood and less susceptible to shrinking and expanding.

Each type of hardwood floor comes in a variety of wood species which are pre- finished  at the  factory.  The Carlton, Urban, Mannington and some Shaw and Anderson collections include handscraped wood planks. The handscraped style lends itself to a homey, rustic look with all the advantages of modern technology in its construction. Samples of the different varieties are available for check-out.
